Basic vehicle appraisal for Insurance, estate, purchase, or sale

Prepared for antique, classic, and special Interest vehicles.  Includes road test if possible, detailed condition description, restoration recommendations, comparative value analysis, appraisers qualifications and a 1-6 vehicle condition assessment in a two page written report.    $49-$89

 

Travel expenses:  (100 miles or less round trip)  $0.40/mile

 

Other consulting services:  $45/hour

 

Consignment sale:  Advertising expenses plus 6% of actual sales price

 

Owner’s qualifications:

Joe Formato has been active in the antique, classic and special interest car hobby since 1974.  After serving a three-year apprenticeship with an automobile restoration company, he founded Akorn Automotive in 1991.  Joe is a licensed professional engineer and holds a master’s degree in engineering management.  He has been a member of the International Automobile Appraisers Association since 1995, and is an ASE certified Automobile Parts Specialist and Refinishing Technician.  He is a member of the N.A.D.A. Advisory Board for Exotic, Collectible, and Special Interest Cars.  Joe is an avid automobile enthusiast and has published articles in many automotive related magazines, journals and newsletters.
